SuperFrio strengthens presence in the largest consumer region of Brazil, in a strategic location for distribution operations, located on the RodoAnel and close to the Raposo Tavares Highway
SuperFrio, a company controlled by Patria Investimentos, and one of the leaders in the refrigerated logistics industry in South America, announced investments of R$ 120 million in a new and modern refrigerated logistics center in the Greater São Paulo region. The venture strengthens SuperFrio’s presence in the largest consumer region of Brazil – in addition to this new CD, the company already operates a CD in Jacareí and another in Mairinque. The works will begin in September/19 and will be completed in April/2020.
The new logistics center will have a capacity of about 20,000 pallet positions, approximately 200,000 m3, plus 50 docks, 100 outlets, a wide 25-meter-wide antechamber, 2,000 m2 of offices and 500 m2 for co-packer operations. The location is strategic for distribution operations to Greater São Paulo, since the vehicles will have easy and quick access to the Marginals (10km), without costs with tolls, in addition to optimized flow to other highways due to being on the banks of the Beltway.
The project will be the 15th unit of SuperFrio, which will reach a capacity of 170,000 pallet storage positions, and will represent an important milestone in the company’s strategy, whose vision is to be the first option in refrigerated logistics in South America by 2023. In the new unit, the company will offer storage, handling, picking, transportation, distribution and co-packer services, always in temperature controlled environments.
“RodoAnel’s refrigerated logistics center will enable the company to strengthen partnerships with current customers and start new relationships. It will already be born with 40% occupancy, due to a contract that we signed with one of the most important dairy brands in the country; our value proposition will be to offer services with excellence to our customers, while providing significant opportunities for logistics cost reductions”, said Francisco Moura, CEO of SuperFrio.
“Our growth plan will continue to be guided by strengthening the relationship with our customers, and we will undertake organic expansions and acquisitions to meet needs not currently met by the market. In 2019, in addition to the acquisition of the Cascavel/PR unit, the construction of 4 new CD’s and the start of cd works on the RodoAnel, we will also carry out an expansion of the Cambé-Londrina/PR unit to meet the needs of one of our customers.”
