SuperFrio, a company controlled by Pátria Investimentos, and one of the leaders in the refrigerated logistics industry in South America, today announced the acquisition of Austral's refrigerated unit in Simões Filho/BA, metropolitan region of Salvador.
The transaction is an important step in the strategic planning of the company, which intends to operate more than 30 refrigerated logistics centers by 2023, and become one of the 15 largest companies in the world in its field of operation.
The Simões Filho/BA unit, which from today will operate under the SuperFrio brand, is recognized by customers as a reference in quality of services provided and customer service. The warehouse currently has a capacity of 12,000 pallets, those of which, 6,000 in refrigerated environments and 6,000 in environments without controlled temperature. The expansion plan includes cooling all dry space by the end of 2020.
This is the 18th unit of SuperFrio, which already operates in the South, Southeast, Midwest and now arrives in the Northeast region. “This is a milestone in the company's strategy; with this acquisition we have expanded our network of operations, enabling logistics solutions of national scope for our customers. Our plan is to open 3 more logistics centers in the Northeast region by 2021”, highlights Vinicius Falcão, Commercial Director of SuperFrio.
