Company invests more than R$ 120 million in the construction of two new centers in the states of Pará and Amazonas.
SuperFrio, leader in the cold chain in South America*, announces the first two logistics centers in the northern region of Brazil. The two centers, located in the states of Pará and Amazonas. With this, the company starts to operate in the five Brazilian regions.
There were more than 120 million reais in investments in these two new centers, which together total 14,000 pallets for storage, equivalent to 110,000 m³ distributed in 4 chambers. It is also important to highlight the cold technology low charge installed, the base of ammonia in low concentration thus guaranteeing energy efficiency and greater environmental safety.
“One of the main aspects of our mission is to take care of people's food, this is our job even more so when we arrive in regions as complex from a logistical point of view as the northern region of the country. We are very happy to be able to contribute to regional development while shortening the distances between the producer and the consumer, reducing costs and barriers in the logistic chain in order to ultimately deliver a higher quality product, fresher and faster to consumers' tables. ”, says Rodrigo Vassimon, CEO of SuperFrio.

Each unit has an initial installed capacity of 7 thousand pallets, equivalent to 55 thousand m³ of storage distributed in 2 chambers and 15 docks. Work began in February this year and was completed in November.
The inaugurations were held in the first week of December and were attended by authorities from the municipal and state spheres, in addition to the management body, employees, customers and partners of SuperFrio. All protocols to combat COVID-19 were respected during the events.

There is great expectation with the arrival of SuperFrio in the northern region of the country, as the two units together should generate approximately 200 direct jobs and more than 600 indirect jobs, in addition to developing the regional cold chain and moving the economy of the two municipalities.

According to SuperFrio's commercial director, Vinicius Falcão, entry into the northern region of the country has always been pursued by the company:
“The North Region of Brazil is a strategic market that demanded investment from the private sector in the cold chain logistics. The consumer market in the main centers of the region, Manaus and Belém, has more than 5 million inhabitants. With this investment, SuperFrio connects our current customers to the northern region, just as we are prepared to serve regional producers in the distribution and export of their products.”
SuperFrio operates in the five Brazilian regions with a strong presence in the agribusiness markets, food service, protein, processed foods, retail and catering.
