This is the 16th of a total of 30 units that the company plans until 2023
SuperFrio, a company controlled by Pátria Investimentos, and one of the leaders in the refrigerated logistics industry in South America, will start operations in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul in February. This will be the group's first unit in the state and the 16th in the country.
The logistics center in Campo Grande/MS will offer solutions for agribusiness customers, protein producers, food industry, distributors and retailers.
The company already operates in the states of São Paulo, Paraná and Santa Catarina, with a strong presence in the agribusiness, food service, general storage, distribution, export and import markets.
According to the Commercial Manager of the Agro segment, Josiane Galocio, the Campo Grande/MS logistics center is part of SuperFrio's strategic plan to offer integrated logistics solutions to its customers in the main food producing and consuming regions of the continent. “Our plan for 2020 is to position 4 logistics centers in the Midwest region, strengthening relationships with current customers and establishing new partnerships.”
Located near Highway BR 262, the Campo Grande/MS unit is strategically positioned to carry out the distribution of seeds and food throughout the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, in addition to supporting the local production and export of proteins.
With an initial storage capacity of 10,000 pallets, environments with controlled temperature and humidity, and MAPA authorization to store products destined for the foreign and domestic markets, the logistics center will use JDA's state-of-the-art WMS and will implement the system by June SuperFrio's integrated management system, which includes the HACCP Program – a global reference in food safety.
“We will remain focused on growing together with our customers, whether organically or through acquisitions, always inspired by our Vision: To be the first option in refrigerated logistics solutions in South America, by 2023”, highlights Francisco Moura, CEO of SuperFrio.
