With the acquisition, SuperFrio will expand its storage capacity by 226,000 m³ and will operate in 3 more Brazilian states.

SuperFrio, a company controlled by Pátria Investimentos and leader in the refrigerated logistics industry in South America*, announced the acquisition of LogFrio, a leading company in Brazil in integrated logistics operations aimed at serving the largest industrial kitchen companies in the country.

LogFrio, the first option for Brazilian group meal companies, founded over 30 years ago, stands out in the Brazilian market by offering excellence in integrated last-mile storage and transport operations. To deliver the highest levels of service required by customers, the company operates with 5 operations strategically positioned in 4 Brazilian states such as SP, RJ, PE and CE. There are 226,000 m³ and 28,500 pallet positions in addition to a new fleet consisting of 130 vehicles, divided between 3/4 trucks, Trucks, Tocos and Vans.

Since 2017, the companies were in complex negotiation, which was successfully concluded in May 2021. According to Pátria's director and SuperFrio's M&A and Expansion director, Frederico Barros, the most recent acquisition consolidates SuperFrio as the main player from the South American cold chain:

“With this acquisition and works that will be inaugurated in 2021, we will have approximately 315 thousand pallet storage positions in 32 operations in Brazil, totaling approximately 2.2 million cubic meters of refrigerated storage capacity, an undisputed leadership position, in addition to reinforce our teams with a team that develops a very high quality work at LogFrio, led by founder Alfredo Gonçalves.”

“We are very pleased with the deal's completion, as since the beginning of the negotiations, the alignment of the companies with regard to the mission, values and objectives related to the future of the integrated logistics segment for perishables in Brazil was very clear. Now we have the opportunity to contribute to this process with greater speed, offering our efficiency and quality that is already recognized throughout the national territory”, says Alfredo Gonçalves, CEO of LogFrio, who will continue to participate in the company's management.

It is in SuperFrio's plans to continue the work developed by LogFrio. Such integration will make it possible to extend the integrated solutions to customers of catering in the other Brazilian states that the
SuperFrio already operates.

The CEO of SuperFrio, Rodrigo Vassimon, highlights the importance of this step in the history of transformation of refrigerated logistics in South America.

“This acquisition demonstrates our interest in investing in companies that bring knowledge and value to the SuperFrio Group. A firm step towards the purpose of transforming refrigerated logistics in South America.”

SuperFrio, which already operates in the states of São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Bahia, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, Amazonas, Pará and Rio Grande do Sul (considering the 3 works in progress with inauguration in 2021) will expand its operations in the state of São Paulo and will also operate in Rio de Janeiro, Pernambuco and Ceará. With a strong presence in the agribusiness markets, food service, protein, processed foods, retail and, now, catering.
